An experienced Middleweight Interior Designer is sought to work on super-prime residential projects in London’s most desirable locations, creating interiors that reflect timeless sophistication, understated luxury, and a deep appreciation for heritage.
This role is for an experienced middleweight designer looking to join a boutique studio specialising in luxury residential projects in London. It offers the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, including ownership of smaller-scale projects.
The role involves working from concept development through to detailed technical packages for interior architecture and joinery, as well as overseeing FF&E, procurement, and on-site delivery. The designer will also be responsible for presenting to and liaising with clients, ensuring seamless project execution.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded designer with a refined aesthetic for furniture, finishes, and materials, combining creative vision with strong technical expertise. With a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in interior design, ideally within high-end London studios, they should have a strong portfolio demonstrating their ability to lead and manage projects from concept to completion.
This role requires excellent technical skills, including the preparation of detailed design documentation, technical drawings, specifications, and schedules. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, particularly for bespoke joinery and interior detailing. The candidate should also be adept at developing seamless client presentations using SketchUp and Adobe CS to effectively communicate design concepts.
Strong project coordination skills are necessary, as the role involves liaising with contractors, vendors, and other professionals to ensure smooth execution. Additional responsibilities include sourcing and procuring FF&E, managing schedules, and providing guidance to junior designers to maintain consistency across projects.
This London studio is made up of a talented team of designers, all of whom have come from leading larger practices and recognised the benefits of joining a boutique studio to make a more hands-on impact on luxury interior projects. The studio is gaining recognition in the London prime residential market, with an exciting pipeline of work that includes a boutique hotel.
They place a strong emphasis on work-life balance and offer a desirable hybrid working model along with other benefits.
