The studio is seeking an experienced Middleweight Interior Designer to work within a project team or independently on small to medium-sized projects.

about the position

The position will work closely with senior team members to deliver projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are executed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include developing design concepts and presentations, producing precise AutoCAD drawings, creating 3D hand sketches, and editing in Photoshop. The role also involves specifying bespoke furniture, lighting, and joinery, as well as preparing comprehensive presentation packages. Additionally, the designer will attend client meetings, conduct site visits, and represent the studio externally.

A proactive and organised approach is essential, with duties extending to staying informed about design trends, and strengthening supplier relationships. The role also includes mentoring junior designers, fostering a collaborative team culture, and occasionally travelling for client and design team meetings in the UK and internationally.

about the candidate

The ideal candidate will have a portfolio showcasing high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects, with a proven ability to create FF&E schemes and produce comprehensive design packages, schedules, and specifications. They should be confident in liaising with trades, suppliers, and clients, demonstrating strong communication and presentation skills.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe CS is essential, along with the ability to confidently sketch and present new ideas.

A strong passion for the design industry, combined with a proactive and solution-driven approach, is key. The candidate should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and efficient, with excellent time management skills.
