This position is for an experienced Middleweight Interior Designer to work across luxury hotel and hospitality projects, both in London and internationally. As part of a project team, the designer will collaborate with senior colleagues and be responsible for producing design documents across all project phases, from concept through to construction.
While the role offers a highly creative focus in the early design stages, a substantial portion will be dedicated to design development. Responsibilities include producing construction documents for plans, elevations, architectural details, and joinery, along with preparing schedules for finishes, ironmongery, and sanitaryware. Additionally, the role involves aspects of construction administration, such as reviewing submittals and RFIs.
Full proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe CS required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-end hospitality interior design, with experience across hotel suites, food and beverage spaces, lobbies, and amenity areas. Experience in residential design is also beneficial. They will have worked within renowned interior design firms and possess comprehensive proficiency across all design phases, from concept development to construction.
Strong conceptual thinking and immaculate presentation skills are essential, along with a high level of technical expertise in interior architecture and joinery detailing. Additionally, the candidate should be confident in liaising directly with consultants, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle with insight and organisation.
