The studio is growing it's team with a Senior interior designer who has strong Revit expertise to contribute to their award-winning commercial workplace projects, including exciting pitches.

In this role as a Senior Interior Designer, you will take charge of developing and executing top-tier interior design projects, collaborating closely with both architects and interior designers across various sectors. You will be tasked with delivering creative, practical designs that align with client expectations and elevate their environments. The position requires working directly with clients, leading design teams, and overseeing project delivery within set timelines and budget constraints. Reporting to the Head of Design, you will play a key role in advancing projects, particularly within the commercial workplace sector.

The successful designer will be highly creative, proactive, and comfortable working in a full-time, studio-based role.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the creation of design concepts and translate them into detailed plans.

  • Provide visionary leadership while maintaining consistency in design throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Present ideas and design proposals to clients, integrating their feedback for refinement.
  • Produce comprehensive drawings, layouts, and specifications using Revit and relevant design software.
  • Keep up to date of the latest industry trends, materials, and products.
  • Establish project , budgets, and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure feasibility and adherence to design guidelines.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Mentor junior designers, promoting a collaborative and innovative studio culture
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure designs are executed in line with approved concepts.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality and aesthetics in all project deliverables.

Skills and Experience
  • Must hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
  • Portfolio for workplace, commercial or mixed-use projects.
  • Experience meeting with clients to understand their objectives and desires, translating them into functional and creative designs.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, vendors, and team members to meet project needs.
  • Ability to prepare compelling presentations (3D, 2D, mock-ups, and renderings) to visually communicate design concepts to clients.
  • Advanced proficiency in producing detailed documentation in Revit and softwares like AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe CS.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects across a range of scales and budgets, both on-site and off-site.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations and RIBA stages.
  • Knowledgeable about product design, materials, and finishes, with a forward-thinking approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with experience managing a small team of designers.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and maintain relevant knowledge.
