A distinguished design art studio in Central London, is seeking an experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to join its senior management team to help them embark on a new period of rapid growth.

Established over 20 years ago  by its founders our client is celebrated for its exceptional craftsmanship and innovative approach to materials and storytelling in art and design. The company’s work spans from fine art and bespoke design objects to luxury interiors and prestigious brand collaborations, making it a pioneer in the global design art world. The Director of Sales and Marketing will play a pivotal role in driving our clients growth and market presence. This role involves working closely with the founders to develop and execute strategic plans that enhance the company’s offerings, including architectural materials and public commissioned fine art. The candidate will oversee and support the launch of new business units, ensuring the smooth integration and growth of each division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, monitor, and analyse key metrics for day-to-day sales and marketing operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
  • Develop and implement weekly, monthly and quarterly Sales and Marketing target and monitor day-to-day progress to ensure targets are met
  • Ensure that the use of designated systems, processes and procedures is enforced
  • Run weekly sales pipeline meetings
  • Measure and manage the pace of opportunities flowing through the pipeline
  • Set targets and manage the optimisation of opportunities within the pipeline including upselling and value engineering
  • Devise strategies for growing the sales pipeline and increasing conversion rate
  • Devise and implement process improvements to maximise output and constantly maintain and improve productivity of the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Ensure that new products and new marketing collateral reach the market in a timely and effective manner
  • Devise strategies to maximise the effectiveness of digital marketing and social media
  • Oversee the in-house team of creatives including creative directors, designers, photographers, film makers and writers to create world class marketing content
Skills and Experience
  • Candidates should possess over ten years of senior leadership experience in a related industry, with a track record of significant growth phases, team management, and process optimisation
  • Preferred qualifications include experience in negotiating contracts, a network of beneficial contacts, and a background in the luxury industry or the high-end art world
  • This position demands strong commercial acumen, a deep passion for their clients  work, and proven leadership in a dynamic, creative environment
  • Ability to bring order and discipline to a highly creative fast paced environment
  • Masterful organisational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams
  • Ability to manage external creative agencies
  • Experience working and thriving in entrepreneurial and or creative cultures

This is a full-time role based in the studio 5 days a week and provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a company that values sustainability, innovation and inclusivity.
